DESCRIPTION

The exhibition aim is to give back to the visitors the urban’s soundscape and breath of the city of Reggio Emilia. The audio materials was collected in specific hot spots of town, it was then mixed by a sound artist and reproduced through four audio devices in an interactive installation, taking place on the three floors of Spazio Gerra Art Center. The public have the chance to interact and explore the sound of their own city in a different and playful way.Starting from a collection of recordings of the recent past of the city to a huge map where the sounds are displaced spatially. At the last floor several  mix stations allow the public to play with the sounds and record their own remix.
